vOLUNTEER rOLES


ALTAR SERVERS

Altar servers assist the priest during the Mass. This ministry is open to all students who have received their first Holy Communion. To be an altar server you must attend a training session.

 

LECTORS

Lectors read aloud the scriptures, responsorial psalms and general intercessions. Training is required.


EXTRAORDINARY MINISTER OF HOLY COMMUNION (EMHC)

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion distribute the Body and Blood of Christ to those who come to Holy Communion at all liturgies. Training is required.


HOMEBOUND EXTRAORDINARY MINISTER OF HOLY COMMUNION (EMHC)

Eucharistic Ministers distribute the Body of Christ to those who are unable to attend Masses and receive Holy Communion. Training is required.


GREETER/GIFT BEARER
Greeters welcome parishioners and visitors as they arrive for Mass and bring the gifts up during the Preparation.


USHER
Ushers assist with seating, collections, and the flow of the liturgy. Training is required.


SACRISTAN

Sacristans prepare the sacred vessels and the sanctuary area for Mass. Training is required.


ROSARY LEADER

Leads the rosary a half hour before the weekend Masses. No training required.


MUSIC MINISTRY

Share your musical gifts at Mass.
